Expertise

After working for two years as a litigator for a large Dallas-based firm, Dustin knew his passion was in taxation and using the law to his client’s advantage. He attended New York University School of Law, and received a Masters of Laws (focus on taxation) in 2006. He then went to work for one of San Antonio’s largest regional law firms, where his practice focused on complex tax planning, federal and state tax controversies, counseling non-profit entities, and matters related to executive compensation.

Dustin is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the Federal District Court of the Western District of Texas, and the Federal District Court of the Northern District of Texas.

Dustin’s philosophy is simple: to provide the client with the highest level of service in the most cost-effective manner. Dustin doesn’t believe all issues need the assistance of an attorney and often guides potential clients to more cost-effective ways to get good results. He is very mindful of the cost-effectiveness of his representation.

Dustin writes estate plans that work for clients for years to come, and don’t require unnecessary paperwork, tax filings, and cost. He helps businesses start out on the right path to minimize litigation and tax exposure from the beginning. Dustin doesn’t look at clients as a case or project, but as long-term relationships.
